Concept models are a fast and efficient way to identify issues and challenges with a design very early in the product development process.

Catching problems at the design stage has proven to be substantially more cost effective than correcting the mistakes at the tooling or production phase.

3D Systems Asia-Pacific employs three key additive technologies for the production of its concept models. These are Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Stereolithography (SLA) and 3D printing. The actual model production process differs between the technologies, but the similarities are  that the models are built up layer by layer.
